Jeremy Moyers private recording studio
Recording & Production

Make the song
the point.

Jeremy works as a session musician and producer from his private professional studio, contributing to records both remotely and in person.

Session Musician

Built around
the song.

Some songs need a single track; others call for several layers. Jeremy listens to what is already there and builds tracks that strengthen the song and fit naturally into the production.

From creating signature parts to layering textures, Jeremy focuses on serving the song as a whole. Being a multi-instrumentalist allows him to move between instruments, tones and roles to find what the artist and arrangement need.

Production

Producing the record,
not a formula.

As a producer, Jeremy works from the songs outward — helping shape arrangements, instrumentation, performances and the overall direction of the record.

Every project is different, and the process should be too. The goal is to understand what makes the artist unique and help bring that forward in a record that feels natural, focused and true to them.

Songs

The songs come first. Jeremy helps choose the strongest material and, when needed, find outside songs that fit the artist.

Preproduction & Arrangements

With the songs chosen, Jeremy works through key, tempo, structure, feel and instrumentation before recording begins.

Players & Tracking

Jeremy casts each project around the music, choosing players whose instincts, sound and approach are right for the songs.

Finishing the Record

Jeremy oversees overdubs, mixes, revisions and final deliverables while keeping the project moving creatively and within budget.

Private Studio

A serious room
for making records.

Jeremy’s private studio is the working center of his session and production work. It is where songs are developed, arrangements are worked through, parts are recorded, overdubs are added and projects continue to take shape between the larger tracking and mixing stages.

The studio is not operated as a traditional room-for-hire. It is Jeremy’s own creative workspace, built to support the records he is producing and the session work he takes on.

Mic Preamps

Neve, API, Chandler, Universal Audio and Grace preamps provide a range of tones, from clean and detailed to more colored and characterful.

Microphones

A carefully chosen collection of condenser, ribbon and dynamic microphones offers different ways to capture a source before reaching for processing.

Compression

Tube, optical and FET compressors provide a variety of colors and responses for shaping sounds while recording.

Monitoring

Focal monitors and Yamaha NS-10s provide both detailed modern monitoring and the familiar studio reference that has been part of record-making for decades.

Instruments

An extensive collection of guitars, pedal steels, lap steels, Dobro / resonator instruments, basses, banjo, bouzouki and other instruments gives Jeremy a broad palette to draw from when building parts and arrangements.

Recording & Conversion

Pro Tools provides the recording platform, paired with high-end Lynx Aurora conversion for capturing and playing back audio with clarity and accuracy.

The gear matters because it gives us choices. The goal is to use those choices to find the right sound for the song — whether that comes from the microphone, preamp, compressor, instrument or simply the way the part is played.

Instruments & Amps

The tools to
chase an idea.

The studio’s instruments, amps and pedals are there to be used. Along with vintage and modern guitars, there are pedal steels, lap steels, resonator instruments, Weissenborns, bouzouki, banjo, basses and other instruments that can take a part in a completely different direction. A large collection of pedals and amps adds even more options when we’re looking for the right tone or texture for a song.

Not a trophy case.

These are only a few of the instruments and amplifiers available in the studio. Jeremy’s collection includes dozens of guitars and other instruments, all chosen to give us different sounds, textures and directions when a song calls for them.

Remote Recording

Send the song.
Get the part.

Remote session work is a major part of Jeremy’s recording work. Artists and producers can send tracks, references and direction, and Jeremy can build and record parts from his studio using the same instruments, amps, microphones and recording tools available for in-person projects.

The goal is simple: deliver the right part without adding more work to your plate.
